Former Indian Football Association Joint-secretary Ranjit Gupta, who met with a road accident yesterday, died in a city hospital here today.

Kolkata: Former Indian Football Association Joint-secretary Ranjit Gupta, who met with a road accident
yesterday, died in a city hospital here today. The 74-year-old was hit from behind by a speedy motorcycle near Moulali last evening, according to an official of the IFA. "He suffered serious injuries to his head and was rushed to the hospital. He succumbed to the brain haemorrhage this afternoon, at around 1.10pm," said the official. Gupta, who represented the Victoria Club, was the IFA Joint-secretary from 1995-2002. He is survived by wife and son. PTI
