continued as the defending champion failed to make the cut
after carding a horrible eight-over in the second round of The
Global Green Bangalore Open 2009 here today.
Ganapathy, who had shot six-over yesterday, took his
total to 14 over 158.
The trio of Mukesh Kumar (69), Ranjit Singh (71) and
Manav Jaini (70) did well as they were sharing the tied second
spot after returning an identical card of three under 141, one
stroke behind leader Mohd. Siddikur Rahman from Bangladesh.
Rahman fired a steady three-under 69 to work his way to
the top of the leaderboard.
The cut was declared at nine over 153. Fifty-one
professionals and one amateur made the cut.
Mukesh, the 2007-08 PGTI Order of Merit champion, posted
the best score of the day along with Siddikur.
Round one leader Harendra Gupta and Anirban Lahiri are
tied fifth after totalling two-under 142.
Local lad C Muniyappa is lone seventh at one-under 143.
Two other Bangalore golfers, M Dharma and R Srinivas, are
joint 14th at two over 146.
