Colombia: New Colombia coach Hernan Gomez named a 21-man squad for friendlies against World Cup hosts South Africa and fellow finalists Nigeria.
Gomez, who coached Colombia at the 1998 World Cup and steered Ecuador to their first finals in 2002, was appointed earlier this month after the Colombians failed to reach the June 11-July 11 tournament in South Africa.
The squad does not include players with clubs involved in the knockout phase of the Colombian Apertura championship.
Colombia will meet South Africa at the Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg on May 27 and Nigeria three days later at West Ham United`s ground in London.
