The textile fraternity wanted an industry representative to be given ticket from Majura Assembly constituency. The constituency has a major population of voters who are connected with the textile industry.
Sanjay Jagnani was quoted by the newspaper as saying, “FOSTTA and other textile associations in the city have worked hard for the BJP. When it came to ticket distribution, the party ignored some of the senior party leaders from the textile sector."
Senior party leaders from the textile sector, Kishore Bindal, Tarachand Kasat, Vishwanath Pachoria and Gopal Jalan were hoping for tickets from Majura Assembly constituency. But the BJP gave ticket to a young candidate Harsh Sanghavi.
