Haryana CM announces cash award for Mount Everest scaler
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has announced a cash award of Rs 21 lakh for mountaineer Mamta Sodha who had scaled the Mount Everest recently.

Earlier, the Haryana Chief Minister had also given
financial assistance of Rs three lakh for Mamta`s expedition,
as she hailed from a poor family from Kaithal district of the
Mamata along with her family members met the Chief
Minister at Delhi today, an official release said here.
She was given warm welcome at Delhi airport on her
arrival by the Haryana Government. Chief parliamentary
secretary Jaiveer Balmiki and senior officers of Haryana
sports department received her at the airport.
The Chief Minister congratulated Mamta on her achievement
and said she has made the country proud with her feat.
"She has not only won laurels for the state, but has also
made the country proud," Hooda said.
