Hooda to honour Asian Games medalists

The athletes` coaches will also be felicitated by Hooda. Gold medal winners would be given a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh each, while the silver and bronze medallists would be richer by Rs 15 and Rs 10 lakh each, respectively. Others who participated in the quadrennial extravaganza would be given Rs two lakh each, an official release said on Monday.The coaches of the gold, silver and bronze winners would be awarded cash prizes of Rs three, Rs two and one lakh respectively. Athletes from Haryana had won as many as 13 gold, nine silver and nine bronze medals in the Asian Games. PTI
