I have been through hell: Woods` ex-wife

After divorce with Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren has broken her nine-month silence on their marriage.

New York: Two days after finalising her divorce with Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren has broken her nine-month silence on their marriage and said she had “been through hell” since learning of her husband’s affairs.

“I have been through hell,” Nordegren told People magazine in an interview published on Wednesday.

“I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock, to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children,” she said.

“I also feel stronger than I ever have. I have confidence in my beliefs, my decisions and myself,” she added.

The 30-year-old mother of two, said she wanted to focus on her kids to help them adjust to the changed situation.

“My immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation ... My main focus is to try to give myself time to heal,” Nordegren told People.
People magazine said that Nordegren shared never-before-seen personal photographs and told magazine about the emotional roller coaster she’s been on, her life as a mother to Sam, 3, and Charlie, 19 months, and her hopes for the future.

Nordegren, former Swedish model who is now studying towards a degree in psychology, also denied that there had ever been violence involved, which was suspected for a long time.

“There was never any violence inside or outside our home,” she said. “The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous.”

The embattled couple was present at Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, Florida for the execution of their divorce agreement on Monday.
“We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future,” they said in a statement.

“While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”

The downward spiral for the couple began when the golfer’s extramarital affairs with dozens of women became public last year.

Shocking details of his private life received worldwide attention with several of the golfer’s mistresses coming forward to provide information about his infidelity.

The couple was present at Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City on Monday for the execution of their divorce agreement, according to People magazine.

The cover-up was busted after his wife Nordegren found out about his extramarital affair with, Rachel Uchitel, a New York party planner, which led to an argument and accident on Nov 27 when Woods crashed his SUV outside his Florida mansion sustaining minor injuries.

The sports star had apologised for his behaviour and spent 45 days in rehab for sex-addiction. After the sex scandal broke, Woods took a five month break and then entered the Masters in April.

“I want to say to each one of you simply and directly I am deeply sorry for the irresponsible and selfish behaviour I engaged in,” he had said, during a 14 minute apology in February.

“I am embarrassed I have put you in this position. For all that I have done I am so sorry.”
