New Delhi: India winger Steven Dias is impressed with the youngsters who are attending a training camp for the national football team`s World Cup qualifier against UAE.

"I am quite impressed with the quality of youngsters in the camp and I am sure they will do well in the camp as well in the coming years," Dias said.

Best remembered for his exploits in the Nehru Cup, the talented midfielder had a quiet session with Churchill Brothers in the recently concluded I-League, but is leaving no stone unturned to attain peak form and fitness ahead of the two home-and-away matches on July 23 and 28.

"On a personal note, I am working hard on my fitness as well as other aspects of the game. I am acquainted with the style of play having played under David Booth when I was in Mahindra. As a professional we always need to adjust to the conditions," he said after a training session at the Ambedkar Stadium.

Asked about team spirit, Dias said, "It`s has been quite an achievement for us as we are cooperating and gelling well together so far."

As far as defender Raju Giakwad was concerned, he is looking for to play with the seniors.
It`s a great feeling. I am looking forward to it. All the seniors are very cooperative and very talented and I am looking forward to work with them," Giakwad said.

Asked about his throw-ins, which has given quite a few teams some tough times, Giakwad said, "I work on throw-ins. It all started with Air-India when I used to practice with them. As a kid I always wanted to learn new things. I saw Uttam Singh doing it with ease and wanted to replicate the same. I am glad that my hard word is paying dividend now."

India seniors will take on the under-23 Olympic team in a practice match here on Tuesday.
