Karna beat TN to clinch championship title

Chennai: Highly rated Karnataka beat Tamil Nadu 10-7 to clinch the championship title in the Inter-State multi events cue sport tournament here this evening.

After being level having won five matches each, Karnataka wizards Pankaj Advani and M Chitra made sure of their team bagging the championship title winning the men’s doubles snooker event and women’s singles snooker title respectively. In the second event today, Karnataka won five different matches as against the hosts’ two in the annual event held on reciprocal basis.Advani paired with I H Manudev showed their supremacy in the two frames snooker format, beating Nigel and Imran Khan 176-38, while Chitra beat Asha (TN) 2-0 (43-13, 29-21).
