Klitschko outboxes Haye to lift WBA title

David Haye was soundly defeated by Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko in the WBA heavyweight title bout in Hamburg, Germany.

Hamburg: After Andy Murray’s debacle at Wimbledon, it was a double disappointment for English fans, as David Haye was soundly defeated by Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko in the WBA heavyweight title bout in Hamburg, Germany.
The unification super-fight saw 30-year-old Haye putting his WBA heavyweight title on the line in a bid to snatch his Germany-based Ukrainian opponent`s IBF, WBO and Ring magazine belts, according to reports. Haye, who used defensive tactics against an aggressive Klitschko lost with a score of 117-109, 118-108 and 116-110. Haye`s pre-fight bluffing also backfired as Klitschko controlled the disappointing heavyweight unification clash.
