London: Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has pumped up his players by saying that they have hit their best form at the right time.
Ferguson prepares for the two Champions League quarter-final legs against old rivals Bayern Munich and the potential Premier League title decider against Chelsea.
Commenting on United`s form, which has seen them win their past seven games and rattle in 19 goals, Ferguson said: "This is a massive week for us; eight days and we have two big matches against Bayern and a great game against Chelsea and we are in our best form of the season."
"You have to enjoy it and at the same time know it`s crucial. A mistake? You hope you don`t make any mistakes and hope they will happen to your opponents," The Daily Express quoted him, as saying.
"We got that on Saturday and after that played exceptionally well. It`s going to be an exciting week. The return of Vidic, Rio Ferdinand and Edwin van der Sar has made a big difference, as the back four has been solid again.”
"It wasn`t easy and we were very fragile but you can see the solidity and experience now and it`s making a massive difference. It`s as the saying goes - strong at the back, strong as a team," Ferguson said.
Ferguson hopes United can continue a Champions League run of 17 unbeaten away games and score tonight.
"Scoring away from home in Europe is without doubt a big advantage and we must try to do that," he said.
