Jamnagar: Mother of a 17-year-old girl has registered a complaint saying that her daughter was allegedly kidnapped by seven persons and gangraped several times over a period of one week, police said on Sunday.

According to police complaint registered yesterday, the girl was gangraped between August 21 and August 26 in Jamnagar and Mumbai by seven persons several times.

On August 21, the girl, who lived with her father here, boarded a private bus from the city to go to meet her mother living in Ahmedabad, the complaint said.

In the bus, she met one Mehul who convinced her to come with him to Ahmedabad in a car, but instead, he took the girl to Jayant Society in the city and held her captive for the entire night.

In the complaint the girl's mother said that while in captivity her daughter was gangraped by Mehul and four of his friends. They also video-recorded the act using mobilephone of the five persons, the complaint said.

The girl was later drugged and made to board a private bus to Ahmedabad, it added.

On her way back to Jamnagar the girl again bumped into the Mehul and his friends who took her to Mumbai promising marraige.

But while in Mumbai she was gangraped for a number of times by the same men, and another one called Michael.

The police complaint was registered by the girl's mother at the women's police station in Ahmedabad, after she came back from Mumbai.

"Further investigation in the matter is being conducted by the Jamnagar district police as the case has been transferred to them, where the place of offence is located," Assitant Commissioner of Police Usha Rada, of the Ahmedabad Women's police station said.

Meanwhile, five persons including Mehul are being questioned regarding the incident, Jamnagar police said, adding that further probe is on in the matter.
