Mourinho accepts “big challenge” at Real

Madrid: Real Madrid unveiled Jose Mourinho as their new coach at a news conference on Monday.

The Portuguese has signed a four-year contract with the Spanish giants following his move from European champions Inter Milan. “I like to give myself a challenge and this is a big one,” Mourinho said. “I have a lot of confidence in myself and my ability as a coach.” Real sporting director Jorge Valdano welcomed Mourinho to the nine-times European champions, who failed to win a trophy last season. “It’s an honour to have one of the most prestigious coaches in the world,” Valdano said. “We are delighted to have him here with us.
