Mumbai: The Home Ministry has issued a warning to the IPL security arrangements that Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium is not a very safe place to hold a match in the aftermath of the low intensity crude bombs that exploded outside Chinnaswamy Stadium, forcing the semi-finals to be shifted out of Bangalore. The BCCI had in a statement announced the decision to shift both the semi-finals to Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium after low intensity blasts outside the Bangalore stadium, just before the start of the match on Saturday.A bomb had exploded outside the stadium minutes before the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians was to begin, leaving 16 people injured. This comes after the twin blasts in Bangalore sounded alarm and Cricket Australia said they would talk to the Indian Premier League authority soon to take stalk of the security situation in the country."We`re keen to talk to the IPL organisers, and that will possibly happen some time in the next 12 hours or so, just to get an understanding of what`s going on," CA spokesman Peter Young told reporters. He, however, said the board is not taking any call right now about their participation in the ICC World Cup, which will be held in the sub-continent next year. "The World Cup is too far away to comment about," he said.
