Munda vows to hold games as he completes 100 days

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda on Monday renewed his pledge that the 34th National Games would not be postponed any more.
"I pledge that the Games will be held as scheduled," Munda told newsmen here on the occasion of his 100 days in office. The Games was slated to be held from February 12-26. Expressing disappointment over the postponement of the Games several times in the past, Munda said the event would encourage the youth and the sportsperson of the state and the country.The National Games, originally scheduled to be held in December 2007, has been deferred seven times on various grounds including political instability and inadequate sports infrastructure.
