Narendra Modi needs to study issues a little: Digvijay on Sir creek

Indore: Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh on Saturday dismissed the allegation made by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on the Sir creek issue, saying Modi needs to study the issues.
"Honourable Modiji should study national and international issues a little. He has raised the (Sir Creek) issue that have no relation to the reality," the Congress General Secretary told reporters here. "It seems that wrong information has been given to Modi," Singh added. In a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh two days ago, Modi had alleged that talks on hand-over of Sir creek to Pakistan were being held, and such a move would be a strategic blunder. On the ongoing Assembly elections in Gujarat, the Congress General Secretary said: I can`t say how many seats will be bagged by any party, but BJP`s percentage will be less and that of Congress will increase." Digvijay also hailed cash transfer system ushered in by the Centre. "The scheme has not been brought in view of the polls, but it is in the interests of the country. Such type of schemes have been successful in Maxico, Brazil and other countries," he said. PTI
