New ministers allocated portfolios in Madhya Pradesh

A day after expanding his team by inducting six members and elevating two ministers of state, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister S S Chouhan today distributed portfolios giving charge of energy, school and higher education and backward classes and minorities welfare to new incumbents.

inducting six members and elevating two ministers of state,
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister S S Chouhan today distributed
portfolios giving charge of energy, school and higher
education and backward classes and minorities welfare to new
incumbents.

Some portfolios held by senior ministers Babulal Gaur,
Himmat Kothari, Jayant Malaiyya, Kailash Vijayvergiya and
Narottam Mishra were given to new members, while additional
charges were given to the elevated ministers.

Newly-inducted Cabinet Minister Gaurishankar Shejwar was
given porfolios of energy, medical education, bio-diversity
and bio-technology, while Akhand Pratap Singh was entrusted
with public distribution and consumer protection and backward
classes and minorities welfare and Laxman Singh Gaud was given
school education and higher education.

State Minister Himmat Kothari was entrusted with home and
transport, Babulal Gaur - commercial tax and public
enterprises, Raghavji - finance, planning, economics, and
statistics and 20-point programme, Jayant Malaiyya - commerce
and industries, employment and housing and environment and
Kailash Vijayvergiya - PWD, information technology and science
and technology.

Narottam Mishra was given legislative affairs, urban
administration and development, Gopal Bhargav - cooperatives,
farmers welfare and agriculture, Anup Mishra - water resources
and public grievances redressal, Kusum Mehdele - women and
child development and social justice, Chandrabhan Singh - Phe,
Ramakant Tiwari - animal husbandry and Rustam Singh - rural
development and panchayat.

State Minister Vijay Shah was handed over forest, tribal
welfare, Jagdish Devda - labour and SC welfare, Ajay Vishnoi -
health and family welfare and Bhopal gas tragedy relief and
rehabilitation, Antar Singh Arya - jail and law and legal
affairs, Kamal Patel - revenue, religious trusts, Laxmikant
Sharma - public relations, culture and mines and Nagendra
Singh - Narmada valley development and technical education.

New incumbent Karan Singh Verma was given Gramodyog,
while other ministers of state with independent charge
Tukojirao Puar was handed over tourism, sports and youth
welfare and Moti Kashyap - fisheries.

Newly-inducted ministers of state Ranjana Baghel got
tribal welfare, general administration and aviation and
Harendrajeet Singh Babboo was given commercial tax,
cooperatives, farmer welfare and agriculture development.

Ministers of state Paras Jain was entrusted with higher
education and school education, Meena Singh - panchayat and
rural development and Narmada Valley Development, Narayan
Singh Kushwah - forests, revenue and religious trusts and
Gangaram Patel was given primary health and women and child
development.
