Paes-Black beat Dlouhy-Benesova to enter mixed doubles final

India’s Leander Paes and his mixed doubles partner Zimbabwean Cara Black advanced to the final of the Wimbledon by defeating the Czech combo of Lukas Dlouhy and Iveta Benesova 6-3, 6-3, here on Friday.

The Indo-Zimbabwean pair today put up spirited display from the beginning of the final-four match as the ninth seed Dlouhy-Benesova failed to match them. After pocketing the first game, Paes and Black continued to dominate the proceedings and clinched the next game with an identical 6-3 scoreline.Paes and Black had beaten Australian-Taiwanese pair of Paul Hanley and Chan Yung-Jan in the quarterfinal on Thursday.
