Venice: Spaniard Dani Pedrosa will return from injury to race at the Italian Grand Prix this weekend, the Repsol Honda rider said.
The 25-year-old broke his collarbone in a fall at the French Grand Prix at Le Mans last month and needed further surgery after a fragment of bone came loose. "I`ve been waiting weeks to be able to write in my blog to say I will return to competition, and today at last I can," Pedrosa said on the team`s website."As I said last week, Mugello was the objective and it`s all I am thinking about now. I`m going to Italy really looking forward to getting on my bike again, to see how it feels and to compete." Pedrosa, last season`s runner up, has missed his home race in Barcelona, the British Grand Prix and last week`s Dutch Grand Prix.He has dropped to sixth in the championship standings on 61 points after seven races. Team mate Casey Stoner leads the standings on 136 points, 28 ahead of champion Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha. Bureau Report
