New Delhi: As it formalised the seat-
sharing pact with DMK, Congress today indicated that the issue
of power sharing was open and would be decided after the April
13 Tamil Nadu assembly polls.
"We can talk about the issue only after the election
results are out," party spokesman Manish Tewari told reporters
at the AICC briefing.
His comments came hours after DMK chief M Karunanidhi
and TNCC president K V Thangkabalu signed the agreement in
Chennai, hammered out after hard bargaining by both sides for
about a fortnight.
Under the agreement, Congress will contest 63 seats as
part of the DMK-led alliance.
