Puducherry State CPI mourns death of Chandrappan

CPI`s Puducherry State committee mourned the death of the party`s Kerala State secretary C K Chandrappan who died on Thursday.

Puducherry: CPI`s Puducherry State committee mourned the death of the party`s Kerala State secretary C K Chandrappan who died on Thursday.
In a resolution mourning the death of Chandrappan, also member of the central secretariat of the CPI, the local unit of the party recalled the late leader`s multifarious contributions in ameliorating the lot of the farmers,
students, youth and also in enabling the implementation of several progressive measures while being a MP.

Secretary of Puducherry State CPI committee and former
Agriculture Minister of Puducherry R Viswanathan expressed
grief over the death.

Viswanathan announced that the party here would observe
mourning for three days and party flag would fly half mast as a
mark of respect to the departed leader. A condolence meeting would be held later on Friday.
