Raja Sidhu appointed as Chef-de-Mission for Asian Beach Games

Joint Secretary of Indian Olympic Association and Secretary General, Punjab Olympic Association Raja K S Sidhu has been appointed the Chef-de-Mission for the second edition of Asian Beach Games to be held at Muscat in Oman.

Chandigarh: Joint Secretary of Indian Olympic Association and Secretary General, Punjab Olympic Association Raja K S Sidhu has been appointed the Chef-de-Mission for the second edition of Asian Beach Games to be held at Muscat in Oman from December 8 to 16.

The event will have 14 disciplines including beach handball, beach soccer, beach volleyball, water polo, jet ski sports, beach kabaddi (men and women), sailing, equestrian and body building, a press release said on Monday.
Sidhu, who was earlier the Chef-de-Mission of the Indian contingent for the Asia Pacific Games held at Yakutsk (Russia) in 2004, also remained Observer of Olympic Council of Asia at 2002, Busan (Korea) Asian Games and 2006 Doha (Qatar) Asian Games.
