Gurgaon: Four-time champion Jyoti Randhawa and Shiv Kapur are doubtful starters for next month`s Hero
Honda Indian Open as they would be busy on the European tour to retain their playing card there for next year. Both Randhawa and Kapur, who needs to end the season within top 115 of the European tour Order of Merit to retain their card, said they are most likely to give the USD 1.25 million Asian Tour event a miss. "As of now, I am playing Madrid Masters. My first priority is European tour," Kapur told reporters on the eve of the DLF Masters here. Randhawa, however, said he might consider playing the tournament if manages to get a few top-10 finishes on the European Tour before that. "Till now I know I am playing Madrid Masters. But before that I will be playing here, then in Japan and then the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland. "But you know never know, if I have a top 10 finish in Dunhill Cup, then I might consider playing in the Indian Open," said Randhawa, who won the Indian Open four times in 1998, 1999, 2006 and 2007. Incidentally, Randhawa is placed 107th in the European tour Order of Merit, while Kapur is languishing at the 112th position. Bureau Report
