Retirement age for teaching faculty raised to 65

Puducherry: The JIPMER here has fixed the
superannuation age of the teaching faculty in the institute at
65 years from 60.
An amendment has been made to the Regulation 40 (2) of
the JIPMER Regulations 2008. The amendment has been brought
into force retrospectively from July 2008, it said in a
statement.
However medical and scientific specialists could be granted
extension in service on a case to case basis up to 65
years.
