Revolutionary `Muni Guruji` passes away

A revolutionary, who had participated in the freedom struggle, passed away in Akola at the age of 100, family sources said.

Akola, Oct 02: A revolutionary, who had
participated in the freedom struggle, passed away in Akola at the
age of 100, family sources said.

Anant Hari Kshirsagar popularly known as Muni Guruji,
who was part of the Hindustan Socialist Army headed by
Chandrashekhar Azad and had participated in the freedom
struggle, died at Amravati yesterday morning, they said.

Kshirsagar`s son, Amravati Deputy Commissioner of
Police Mohan Kshirsagar performed the last rites on the
occasion here last evening, where mourners were present in
large numbers.

The revolutionary, born in August 1909 later joined
the Hindustan Socialist Army and went to Pune. Kshirsagar,
later came to Akola where he served as a teacher in a school
before contributing to the freedom struggle while underground.
