Margao: Hosts Salgaocar Sports Club would be keen to end their first leg campaign on a winning note when they take on Viva Kerala in an I-League clash at Nehru stadium.
The two teams are separated by four points with Viva Kerala placed in the 10th spot with 14 points from 12 matches, while Salgaocar are in the 12th place with 10 points.
The visitors coming into the match after a won over Mumbai FC.Salgaocar beat Mohun Bagan but lost the next two matches against East Bengal and Churchill Bros, leading to sacking of their coach Tim Hankinson.
Peter Valles, who is now team`s acting coach, has a tough job in hand to transform the team into a winning lot.
The defense has played its role well so far and the return of Iranian Simania in place of injured Agnelo Colaco will further strengthen the line-up along with Brazilian Somboroso.Valles is confident of a good performance from his team tomorrow.
"My boys know what is expected from them and hopefully they will perform to their potential and win which will help them end the first phase on a winning note and keep their minds positive when the second leg starts," he said.
