New Delhi: Former IPL chief Lalit Modi, who was handed a life ban by the BCCI in its Special General Meeting (SGM), is reportedly in talks to launch an IPL-style football league. A leading Indian daily on Thursday reported that Modi, who now resides in London, recently spoke to All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Praful Patel but the details of the meeting are unknown. Modi, without revealing details about his future plans, hinted that he has moved on and will soon be associated with a global league. "I have moved on and I will soon be associated with a global league. There are a lot of people in sporting fraternity across the world, who want me on board," he said. Reacting to the decision, Modi said that he will have ‘the last laugh’. "They (BCCI) will have their day and I will have the last call. I am not going anywhere. I will be right here," Modi told a news channel on Wednesday.
