Six Indians to play in boy`s World Junior Squash tourney

National junior champion Aditya Jagtap and Malaysian All-Star junior U-19 winner Ravi Dixit will be among the 114 racqueters vying for top honours at the boy`s World Junior Individual Squash Championship.

will be among the 114 racqueters vying for top honours at the boy`s World Junior Individual Squash Championship to be held at Quito in Ecuador from July 27 to August 1. Apart from the duo, other Indians to feature in the 17th edition of the event will be Ramit Tandon, Abhishek Pradhan, Mahesh Mangaonkar and Karan Malik. Three Indians -- Jagtap, Dixit and Tandon -- will open their campaign from the second round as they have been awarded bye in the opening round. Pradhan will play Australia`s Jake Davidson on the first day of the tournament at the Quito Tennis and Golf Club. Mangaonkar and Malik will take on Guatemala`s Luis Flores Muyshondt and Colombia`s Juan Vargas Heredia respectively the next day. The mega-event has attracted players from 25 countries. The tournament will be followed by the boy`s World Junior Team Championship from August 2-7. PTI
