New Delhi, Dec 10: Malayalam film industry’s much adorned actor Mohanlal, has set a new record in the history of commercial cinema. His much awaited action-flick ‘Bhagavan’ based on a commando operation in a hospital was shot in a rapid speed of 12 hours.
Mohanlal is apparently acting as a doctor working in a hospital where commandos prepare for the real action operation. The movie is believed to be consisting of several action sequences. Finishing the project in a 7am to 7pm shoot has undoubtedly enthused many others in the fraternity.

Reports claim that six cameras were used to shoot a majority of the scenes from different angles to ensure continuity and save time in this experiment of sorts.

The movie is directed by Prashanth and is his first directorial venture. It is expected to hit the cinemas on January 23, 2009.

Now, that’s some encouragement for our budding directors!
