Team by team analysis of Hungarian Grand Prix

Budapest: Team by team analysis of Sunday`s Hungarian Formula One Grand Prix (listed in championship order):Brawn GP (Jenson Button 7, Rubens Barrichello 10)

Button`s worst performance of the season saw his lead over Red Bull`s Webber trimmed to 18.5 points. After winning six of the first seven races, he has taken just nine points from the last three. Barrichello failed to score for the second time this year. He made contact with another car at the start which left him towards the back of the field. Brawn lead Red Bull by just 15.5 points now. Red Bull (Mark Webber 3, Sebastian Vettel retired) Webber`s fourth podium in a row lifted him over Vettel to second place overall. He also claimed a career first fastest lap. Vettel collided with Raikkonen at the first corner and he eventually retired with a broken left suspension. FERRARI (Kimi Raikkonen 2, Felipe Massa did not race) Ferrari`s best result of the season despite having only one car after Massa`s accident in qualifying left the Brazilian in hospital. Champions Ferrari overtook Toyota for third place. Toyota (Timo Glock 6, Jarno Trulli 8) Glock started 13th on a heavy fuel load, Trulli started 11th. Both reported the car worked well on the tyres. McLaren (Lewis Hamilton 1, Heikki Kovalainen 5) Hamilton`s first win of the season, 10th of his career and McLaren`s first podium since October 2008. Also the first win by a car with the KERS energy recovery system and first for Martin Whitmarsh as team boss. McLaren vault ahead of Williams. Williams (Nico Rosberg 4, Kazuki Nakajima 9) Rosberg`s second successive fourth place. The German has scored all of his team`s points this season and is now fifth in the championship. Nakajima finished where he started. Renault (Nelson Piquet 12, Fernando Alonso retired) Renault were suspended for the next race in Valencia for allowing Alonso to leave the pit lane with a dangerously loose wheel. Piquet`s future at the team looks very doubtful, having still failed to score a point this year. Alonso started on pole but retired after 17 laps with a fuel pump problem and after shedding the wheel. BMW Sauber (Nick Heidfeld 11, Robert Kubica 13) No points for last year`s title contenders for the third race in a row. Heidfeld said he was hit from behind on the first lap. Kubica struggled with his car`s handling and reported heavy front tyre degradation. Toro Rosso (Jaime Alguersuari 15, Sebastien Buemi 16) Alguersuari became the youngest driver to start a grand prix at 19 years and 125 days. Buemi made a lot of mistakes and damaged his front wing early on. Force India (Giancarlo Fisichella 14, Adrian Sutil retired) Still seeking their first point in F1. Sutil`s race ended after one lap when his engine overheated. Bureau Report
