New Delhi has traditionally been a ‘desi’ music forte post-independence and many a super chilled-out inhabitants of the City of Djinns have had to hide face when the post beer bragging sessions start among peers from other metros of the country and the world.
Boom! Comes in the new millennium and the whole gamut of the small pockets of underground music, rockers, electro-noptics, hip-hoppers, rappers, punks, metalheads and many other awesome forms of music convert into large numbers.
A windy night at The Lalit’s 24*7 celebrated the coming of electro to the capital in style. The line-up looked phenomenal with awesome electronic talent featuring top artists of the city of New Delhi. The show featured Jalebee Cartel, Midival Pundits, Kalyug, Kohra, Unsane, Dualist Inquiry, S.O.N.R and Thiruda, and the artists created a web of electronic impulses that took the gathering into a new element altogether.
As the music progressed, a plethora of tunes got the audience grooving to the numbers and the city, in grip of Commonwealth bonhomie, was alive with world’s best music and an equally receptive audience.
With The Lalit bringing in its often admired efficiency and class to the music in the city, here’s a big cheers for all those who’ll be firing it all guns blazing this festive season!
