UEFA charge Eduardo with trying to deceive referee

UEFA charged Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva on Friday for "deceiving the referee" when he won a penalty against Celtic in Champions League qualifying playoff at the Emirates Stadium.

In a statement on their website (www.uefa.com), European football`s governing body said: "Having studied video evidence of the incident in question, the UEFA disciplinary inspector decided to charge the player concerned."The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body will examine the case on September 1."
