New Delhi: South African Lee-Anne Pace, leader on the Ladies European Tour Order of Merit, will be among the 123 golfers taking part in the USD 300,000 Hero Honda Women`s Indian Open to be held from November 11-13.
The event, having the highest ever prize money in Indian women`s professional golf history, will be held at the DLF Golf and Country Club at Gurgaon, near here.
29-year-old Pace, hailing from Mossel Bay, won the Sanya Ladies Open in China to take over the top spot from Laura Davies, who will also vie for honour in the Indian Open.
"It was a goal to come and win this week, or finish top five, just get a little bit ahead. Now I`ve done that, so we move on to the next one," said Pace.
However, the journey will not be easy for Pace in the presence of a number of strong title contenders, including the defending champion Phatlum Pornanong of Thailand.
