Vaithilingam leaves for Delhi to meet HM, Sonia Gandhi

Puducherry: Chief Minister V Vaithilingam
on Tuesday left for Delhi to meet Home Minister P Chidambaram and
seek clearance of proposals pertaining to developmental
schemes.
Official sources said Vaithilingam would also meet AICC
leader and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and formally invite
her to Puducherry to declare open the Rs 38 crore government
sponsored Women and Child Hospital (maternity hospital).

They said Sonia Gandhi would visit Puducherry this month
and also inaugurate a housing project for tsunami affected
fishermen families at Kalapet near here.
This project had been compleed through the Project
Implementation Agency of Puducherry government coordinating
the tsunami related relief and rehabilitation works.
