Edinburgh: Colin Montgomerie has invited Tiger Woods to relaunch his career in Scotland next week.
The former world No.1 will not play again on the PGA Tour regular season after failing to qualify for the prestigious FedEx Cup.
According to a daily, Woods, who missed the cut at the USPGA by six shots, is not scheduled to play again until the Australian Open in November.
Now Monty has offered the American superstar the chance to tee up in the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles where the Scot is tournament chairman.
“I’ve asked him as I have invitations available. We haven’t had a reply yet,” said Monty.
