Woods will never dominate golf again: Norman

American golfer Tiger Woods has been advised by Australian legend Greg Norman to stop fooling himself and own up to the fact that he will never dominate golf again.

London: American golfer Tiger Woods has been advised by Australian legend Greg Norman to stop fooling himself and own up to the fact that he will never dominate golf again.

Woods has slipped from No.1 to No.30 in the world and after his failure to make the cut at the US PGA Championship his ranking will take another hit on Monday.

“If you want to hang on and hang on and try to pretend, put this veil of fabrication up there you can, but I say you’ve got to admit the truth. You have to wake up every morning and look at yourself in the mirror and answer truthfully the questions you ask yourself,” a daily quoted Norman, as saying.

“You’re the only one who can do that. I hate to see a great athlete like Tiger go through what he’s going through but it’s up to him. Happiness comes from within. It doesn’t come from anywhere else. He’ll work it out,” he added.
Woods, who held the World No.1 spot for over 11 years in 10 different spells, has not won at any level since the 2009 Australian Masters - just before his marriage, and his business appeal was wrecked after over a dozen women revealed his multiple infidelities.

The 35-year-old has won 14 professional major golf championships, the second highest of any male player (Jack Nicklaus leads with 18), and 71 PGA Tour events, third all time behind Sam Snead and Nicklaus.

He has more career major wins and career PGA Tour wins than any other active golfer.
He is the youngest player to achieve the career Grand Slam, and the youngest and fastest to win 50 tournaments on tour.

Additionally, Woods is only the second golfer, after Jack Nicklaus, to have achieved a career Grand Slam three times.

Woods has won 16 World Golf Championships, and won at least one of those events in each of the first 11 years after they began in 1999.
