Sid Vicious voted ‘Most Controversial Rocker Of All Time’

London, March 18: Former Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious has been named the ‘Most Controversial Rocker Of All Time’.Vicious - real name John Ritchie – topped a poll of 2,000 music fans to find the ultimate rock wildman, scooping 25 per cent of the vote, reports the Daily Star.

He died of a heroin overdose in 1979, months after he was accused of murdering his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, who famously bit the head off a bat during a concert, came second. Rolling Stones star Keith Richards landed the third spot in the Orange.co.uk survey. Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse stood fourth for her former hard partying ways.
