The four believed to be residents of Nallagandla have been booked under IPC sections 375d (rape), 307 (attempt to murder), 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in robbery). They will be sent to a juvenile home.
The university officials are claiming that the incident took place outside the campus and added that it was a restricted area. "The incident took place outside the campus area. It is a restricted area. We don’t want to blame anyone. The university offers all the help required for the injured," University of Hyderabad spokesperson Vinod Pavarala told The News Minute.
