NEW DELHI: A Sri Lanka Airlines flight on Sunday hit a runway light at Kerala's Cochin airport during the take off. The plane UL-168 was carrying 227 passengers, reported news agency ANI.

There have been no reports of injury to the passengers.

The aircraft wheel was damaged and the flight was cancelled. The runway was closed for a moment following the incident, however, the functioning was resumed later.
