Idea counters Reliance Jio with 12GB data, unlimited calls, SMSes and free roaming

In a bid to tackle the raging price war in the country, Idea has come up with an Ultimate postpaid plan for customers giving upto 12GB data, unlimited calls, SMSes and free roaming.

New Delhi: In a bid to tackle the raging price war in the country initiated by Reliance Jio, Idea has come up with an Ultimate postpaid plan for customers giving upto 12GB data, unlimited calls, SMSes and free roaming.

As per a report in Gadget 360 degree, Idea has come up with two “Ultimate  postpaid plan”. At Rs 999 Ultimate postpaid plan users can get up to 12GB data while Rs 499 Ultimate plan provides up to 9GB of data.

Both plans come with unlimited calls, free roaming, and bundled SMSes. Idea is also providing customers 1GB of free data as part of its “Acquisition Offer”, Gadget 360 degree report said.

3G/2G users to get 5GB data

Customers who upgrade to new 4G handset on the Ultimate 999 plan will get 3GB of data free every month until December 31, 2017

1GB data for 3G/2G handset users

3GB data free till December 31 for upgrading to a new 4G smartphone with this postpaid plan
