New Delhi: Mukesh Ambani's extension of the Reliance Jio plan has already shook the telecom space in India.
Continuing with its telecom price war, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is planning to give its users unlimited calls plan at Rs 149, as per a newspaper report.
With over 52 million customers taking Jio's free voice and data since its launch on September 4, Ambani announced 'Jio Happy New Year Offer' of free data, voice, video and applications till March 31 for new users joining from December 4 as well as the existing ones.
However, the plan will come with a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) which will cap data for Reliance Jio customers at around 1 GB per day.
As per a report in the Economic Times, BSNL users will very soon be able to make unlimited local and national calls to any network for Rs 149 a month. This mobile tariff plan will also include 300 MB of data.
An announcement regarding the same is likely to be made on January 1, 2017, ET further said.
