Srinagar: Two militants and a civilian were killed during a gunfight between militants and security forces in Awantipora area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama.
Divulging details of the encounter, a police official said that security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Padgampora village of Awantipora around 2.30 am following information about the presence of militants in the area
Following the gunfight, the Bannihal-Baramulla train service was stopped as the railway track moves close to Padgampora village.
The militants were hiding in two houses next to each other.
