Bangalore: Laying to rest all speculations that he may not campaign for the Congress party in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections, former external affairs minister SM Krishna looks set to kick-off his campaign after all. Rumours were rife about Krishna`s discord with party honchos ever since his close aide and Mandya Congress president, MS Atmanand, quit on being denied a ticket. But newspapers quoted Congress sources as saying that Krishna will kick-off his campaigning trip this week by drumming up support for M Krishnappa from Vijayanagar constituency and his son, Priya Krishna, from Govindrajnagar. Congress sources expect Krishna to campaign in Dasarahalli on Monday, to rake support for BL Shankar. Karnataka Congress added another feather to its cap on Saturday by also managing to persuade over half of the rebels to step down on the last day of withdrawal of papers.
