LIVE - Madikeri Election Results 2018

Madikeri (Gen) is an Assembly constituency in the Kodagu district and Coastal region of Karnataka and is a part of the Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency. The total number of registered voters in this constituency are 2,12,726 which includes general, NRIs and service voters. Results for the Madikeri Assembly constituency in Karnataka, polling for which was held on May 12, will be announced on May 15, 2018. BJP candidate Appachu (Ranjan) MP had won this seat in the 2013 Karnataka Assembly Elections. He won with a margin of 4,629 votes (3.01%) securing 36.85% of the total votes polled. He defeated BA Jivijaya of JD-S who got 52,067 votes. The voter turnout registered in the Madikeri seat was 75.89% in 2013 polls. BJP had won this seat in the 2008 Assembly Elections with a margin of 6,585 votes (5.16%) registering 47.06% of the votes polled.
