False dreams, false promises: Rahul Gandhi's latest attack on PM Modi in Karnataka

BELLARY: On the first day of his four-day visit to Karnataka, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday attacked the Narendra Modi government for making false promises. "Don't trust those who make false promises and show you false dreams," he said while speaking at a public meeting in Bellary in Karnataka.

He also claimed that unlike the Modi government, Congress fulfils the promises that it makes. "The words of Narendra Modiji do not have any substance. He never does what he promises,"Rahul added.

Commenting on the recent speech of Narendra Modi in Parliament, Rahul said that the Prime Minister did not talk about the future or the progress of the country. "Narendra Modi didn't speak about future, or giving employment to youth, or help to farmers in his one-hour long speech in Parliament. He spent one hour talking about Congress party and the past. The country wants to listen about the future from the PM," Rahul said.

During his visit to poll-bound Karnataka, Rahul will connect with people through a series of public interactions, road-side meetings and public rallies over the next four days. He is also scheduled to visit Huligamma temple in the neighbouring Koppal town and Gavi Siddheswara Lingayat Mutt to meet its head priest. He will address a public meeting at Kukanur near Yelburga in Koppal district in the evening.

On the second day of his visit, Gandhi will travel on road for public receptions at Kushtagi, Kankagiri and Gangavati, followed by a public meeting at Karatagi in Koppal. On the third day, he will visit Raichur, Yadgir and Kalaburgi districts for public receptions, participate in a tribal rally at Devadurga in Raichur district, interact with youth and students at Shahpur in Yadgir district, followed by public meetings at Jewargi and Kalaburgi towns.

On the fourth and final day, he will interact with professionals and business community at Kalaburgi and fly to Basavakalyan by a chopper to visit Anubhava Mantapa in Bidar district.
