Thiruvananthapuram: Three United Democratic Front (UDF) MLAs are currently on an 'indefinite satyagraha' over on Sabarimala issue.

The candidates are Congress' VS Sivakumar, Indian Union Muslim League's Parakkal Abdullah and Kerala Congress-M's J Jayaraj have been on the satyagraha.

The leaders are protesting the imposition of ban orders and lack of basic amenities in Sabarimala.

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court refused to accord an urgent hearing to the Kerala government's plea challenging the High Court order to appoint a three-member monitoring committee to oversee security and other activities at the Sabarimala temple.

A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said the state government's fresh plea against the appointment of a three-member panel would be taken up in regular court.
