Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Intelligence Bureau (CBI) will probe the death case of a 27-year-old man in Kerala who allegedly died in police custody.

27-year-old Puthenveetil Sreejeev reportedly died at a Thiruvananthapuram hospital on March 21, 2014.

The victim's brother Sreejith has been protesting for the last 760 days outside the state Secretariat seeking a CBI probe.

"I will continue my protest till the CBI probe begins, will also consult legal experts," Sreejith told ANI.

The police, however, claimed that Sreejeev had committed suicide by consuming poison, said reports.
