TRIVANDRUM: A former radio jockey named Rajesh was hacked to death by unidentified assailants at his studio in Madavoor in Trivandrum late on Monday night. One other person has also been injured in the incident.

Rajesh had reportedly returned with a friend from a stage programme when they were attacked. They were keeping their equipment back in the studio when the attack took place. The attackers came in a red Maruti Swift car and had sharp weapons on them.

Soon after the attack, the locals alerted the police. Rajesh and his friend were rushed to the hospital. While Rajesh succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, his friend is undergoing treatment. An investigation is underway into the murder.

Rajesh has been associated with Red FM as an RJ for several years. He also worked in Doha at the Voice of Kerala FM station. He recently returned from Doha and joined a mimicry troupe.
