KOLKATA: Protest by parents and guardians against a high profile Kolkata school, where a four-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by male teachers, intensified on Monday morning.

Several parents and relatives gathered in front of the school after authorities announced a sudden closure of the school from Monday onwards until further notice.

Several parents demanded the re-opening of school since as senior classes were scheduled to appear for internal assessments on Monday.

A four-year-old girl child was allegedly sexually abused inside a school by two Physical Education teachers on Thursday. The child's mother found the blood stain on her uniform while picking up from school.

Minor victim kept crying in class, asking for 'Ma'

The two PT teachers were arrested on Friday and sent to two days police custody. The school has suspended both the teachers.

The victim's parents have lodged a complaint at the Jadavpur Police station, demanding the immediate arrest of the principal of the school for allegedly suppressing facts about the incident and for not taking preventive measures despite a similar assault three years ago.
