Melbourne: Hello and welcome to our Live updates from Day 6 of Australian Open 2016.

Day 5 wasn't a day of upsets as Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova advanced to the next stage. In a historic moment on Friday, Federer became the only male tennis player to win 300 Grand Slam matches with his 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Grigor Dimitrov.
